Lambchops (1929)
George Burns and Gracie Allen perform a bickering-couple vaudeville routine built around Gracie's scatterbrained non sequiturs and George's exasperated straight-man reactions, staged simply for a static camera as a filmed record of their stage act.
Lambchops was one of Burns and Allen’s earliest Vitaphone shorts, and its modest success on the strength of Gracie’s scene-stealing “illogical logic” helped launch the pair’s long run through short comedies into radio and television.
